The United States has been chosen as the Guest Country for this year's Busan International Short Film Festival. From its birth in the late nineteenth century in France, cinema was introduced and developed significantly in the United States, giving form to the present state of cinema. In practically every sector of cinema, including independent films, experimental films, and short films, as well as its most renowned facets of Hollywood, film stars, and the Oscars, the United States has been and will continue to be the center of the industry.
The audience will be able to watch short films made by the two most significant actors and filmmakers in the early history of cinema through this program: Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, both pioneers and legends of silent films.
