A large street sign says, as if to ironically poke fun at the urban frenzy: "Buy less, build more". Yet, in this mad cacophony of car honks, construction sites and personal tragedies,
a simple bridge becomes both shelter and threat, a place of business and a place of surviving — the liminal space where the dreams and the hopes of the poor, the disenfranchised and the forgotten end up and perish. (Sébastien Simon)
