BISFF Event
'SPACE XR' is an outdoor tent screening zone for new media XR cinema. In this program, we introduce XR films using HMD (Head mounted Display) in an effort to escape the two-dimensional, flat space of movie theaters. Audiences can experience 360° VR and interactive elements in a virtual space, leaving the physically limited place of a movie theater and watching films in eXtended Reality(XR) anytime, anywhere.

The Busan International Short Film Festival has continuously introduced films created and produced in unconventional ways through its numerous programs. Interactive film is a new digital medium that engages directly with the audience through a number of platforms such as a desktop or a mobile device rather than a screen at a theater. Instead of focusing on a passive audience experience, interactive films, an advanced from of cinema, give viewers the opportunity to actively participate and become completely immersed in narratives.
